Whether you go simple with a sweater or creative with a costume, there’s no wrong way to celebrate National Dress Up Your Pet Day tomorrow. National Dress Up Your Pet Day was founded by celebrity pet lifestyle expert and animal behaviorist, Colleen Paige, as a fun way to celebrate pets and to support the pet fashion community. Many animal lovers don’t need an excuse to deck their pets out in their finest duds, but if your inner stylist isn’t up for the task, here are a few ideas:

Make your Pug a princess with a tiara, turn your pig into a pirate with a patch, or create a costume for your cat that turns them into a bat—just have fun with it. If your animal has the personality traits of a super star, why not dress your pet in that celeb’s image? Maybe your pup’s gruff growl reminds you of Bruce Springsteen—put him in a white tee and break out a bandana. Draw inspiration from last night’s Golden Globes and dress your rabbit as Annie Hall—all you need is a vest, a tie and a hat.

After they’re dressed, see if you can pose your pet for a picture and post it to our Facebook page. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
