PetSafe has launched a Facebook promotion that will benefit shelter pets across the country. For every "like" the brand's Facebook page receives now through Dec. 31., PetSafe will donate one toy to a pet in a shelter.

“PetSafe is proud to support the lifesaving work happening in animal shelters across the country,” Jim Tedford, PetSafe director of animal welfare initiatives, said. “PetSafe products are designed to strengthen and preserve the bonds between pets and their people. Our tagline is ‘Protect. Teach. Love.’ and those are three words that can also be used to describe what is happening in shelters nationwide.”

The brand aims to provide up 15,000 toys to pet shelters across the U.S. Some of these shelters include: Los Angeles Animal Services, in Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Animal Services, in Long Beach, Calif.; Miami-Dade Animal Services, in Miami; Maricopa County Animal Control, in Mesa, Ariz.; New York Centers for Animal Care & Control, in New York; Denver Animal Control, in Denver; Seattle Animal Shelter, in Seattle; Philadelphia Animal Control, in Philadelphia; Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control, in Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Nashville Humane Association, in Nashville, Tenn.
