Spring Naturals Names Spring Into Action Winner
June 17, 2013

Spring Naturals has chosen its first Spring Into Action Grand Prize winner. After a 12-month campaign search for the nation's most devoted animal advocates, the company named Theresa Strader and her Peyton, Col.-basedanimal rescue organization, National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR), as the winner.

Strader received $2,000 worth of Spring Naturals dinners and treats for dogs, plus a $500 monetary donation in honor of her dedication to animal welfare.

Strader's home, the first NMDR location, was recently destroyed by the Black Forest fire affecting the Colorado Springs area. Spring Naturals also donated to a fundraising site created by Strader's community to help get her back on her feet.

Strader established NMDR in 2007 in an effort to put an end to the cruel commercial dog breeding industry. The 160-acre facility has rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 7,000 dogs. Strader and her team of over 1,400 volunteers, plus a small paid veterinary staff, continues to grow.
