What can attendees expect from the International Pavilion?
Anne Ferrante: The 2013 International Pavilion features 48 booths comprised of 40 exhibiting companies representing nine countries. The Pavilion features both new and established products from Belgium, Britain, Canada, China, France, Ireland, Mexico, Singapore and Thailand.
The International Pavilion truly is the hottest meeting place for key trading partners from around the world. Each of the exhibiting companies has been qualified by the American Pet Products Association as an established company already trading in the pet product industry ready for quality business transactions at Global Pet Expo. Buyers will find a wide range of established brands and unique products characterized by their fresh ideas and international flair combined with innovative styling and utility. Many of these exhibitors hold the release of their new products in order to debut them on the international scene at Global Pet Expo, so buyers will see many products that are entirely new to the North American market.

How has the section changed in the last few years?
Ferrante: The International Pavilion has experienced significant growth, mimicking the growing international interest in the U.S. pet products market. Many international suppliers are entering the U.S. market via The International Pavilion. They are returning to Global Pet Expo year after year, solidifying their position in the U.S. market. These companies are astute to the trends and demands of the U.S. market and are addressing them by providing quality, innovative designs. Many have broadened their offerings beyond basic market access and are now offering U.S. customers multiple lines, including high-end and luxury, natural and eco-friendly products. These are savvy companies with solid business strategies that are meeting the U.S. demand for innovative products and competitive pricing.
