LISBON, Ohio–Blackwood Pet Foods, LLC, has launched new packaging and a new identity for its Blackwood dog food line. Blackwood worked with marketing and design consultancy agency Kick on the new packaging system, and marketing consultancy agency Catapult Thinking to develop the new Blackwood identity.
“Our packaging was designed to provide the consumer with a great shopping experience, easy access to key product information and a representation of the true quality of our recipes,” said Doug Sapp, Blackwood’s vice president of marketing. “Consumers now have direct access to important information such as protein, fat and fiber percentages, the recipe and cooking process, all on the front of the bag for easy comparison shopping.”
Blackwood has also introduced a series of new recipes and formulas. The Special Diet is a grain-free formula available in Salmon Meal & Potato and Chicken Meal & Potato. The Sensitive Skin/Stomach formula is available in Lamb Meal & Rice Recipe and Chicken Meal & Rice Recipe. The company also introduced a corn-, wheat- and soy-free line for all lifestages and dogs that need a lean diet.
